I have no time to speak in tented tongues
And neither shall I try to fight the tide
But when I tried to bear it down, I sighed
And let the light of lightning lead my lungs
Deep breaths, strong breaths, to push the lettered lim,
It flying free, I could not help but break
Into your room, and set a raging lake
Of not the first, nor second, but the slim.
And now I look, and see that, all in vain
Have I attempted to deny your right
For you have day, and I shall own my night
Control the moon, and drink its wax and wane.
What truth in couplets ever could appear?
Said I once, too. But now I look a seer.
Did you really think you'd be off that easily?
